5 Steps to a Happy Holiday with Toddlers

When it comes to the first few holidays abroad with your baby or toddler, it can feel like there’s so much to plan or fret about to make sure everyone is happy. I’ve now taken my little girl on 3 holidays and Eurocamp was definitely the least stressful. I could’ve happily stayed away for longer as I felt truly relaxed and my daughter loved every minute of it too, which was a joy to see – happiness all round!

With that in mind, I thought I’d share 5 ways Eurocamp can create happiness for you and your little ones when taking a holiday abroad.

1. Safe and secure home from home Toddler friendly holidays

When it comes to packing for any length of time away from home, my list of essential toddler items is extensive. Eurocamp’s accommodation is like a home from home and cuts that list right down by offering:

  • Toddler cutlery
  • Travel cot
  • Highchair
  • Bedrails
  • Baby bath
  • Changing mat

And that’s just the freebies! From just £2 per day you can also hire a buggy, toddler truck and play tent. Safety is so important when choosing where to take your toddler on holiday and with the accommodation all on one level and safety gates available, your worries are eased meaning you can sit back and relax knowing they’re safe.

2. Free Kids’ Clubs Toddler Friendly holidays

Another thing that’s often on my huge packing list are books and toys, but with a Eurocamp holiday all of that is already there for you to use! The Mini Fun Station kids’ club is open 6 days a week and has a baby and toddler play area for 6 months to 5 years old.
There are toys available for little ones to use as well as outdoor sand and water tables and slides. You can use the toy and book library to take items back to your accommodation too!

3. Learning new skills

With free Learn to Swim sessions your little one will build their confidence in the water through songs and games and plenty of splashing about!

For kids aged 3+ they can also Learn to Ride for free, whether they’re learning balancing techniques or ready to learn pedalling and braking, they’ll be beaming with pride at their new found skills – as will you!

4. On parc fun and games Toddler Friendly holidays

Eurocamp holidays are available across over 180 locations and you’ll easily find stuff to do in the area surrounding the parc. What’s really handy though is that there’s so much to do on parc too, so if you don’t fancy venturing out and about you can stay close to home.
The pool facilities on parc are typically pretty epic, and often include a toddler area in the pool with a mini slide, but there are also some fantastic spraygrounds perfect for toddlers to run around and play in very shallow waters. My little girl loved the mini slides and
sprays at La Croix du Vieux Pont. You’re also likely to find good playgrounds, soft-play, woodland walks or even on parc beach access!

5. Flexible travel Ferry with a baby

Journeys with a toddler/baby can get pretty stressful, especially with late flights and long transfers. On our first Eurocamp holiday, we took the ferry, chose a sailing that suited us and drove through the night whilst my daughter slept. It really was the least stressful long distance journey I’ve taken her on, and we welcomed the time on the ferry for her to roam around and use up her energy before the next stage of the drive.
Our next Eurocamp holiday will involve a short flight in the afternoon (just 1 hr 50) and then a 40 minute drive to the parc so I’m expecting that to be pretty relaxed too!

Do you have any reasons why you think Eurocamp holidays are great for toddlers?
